Cozy Diner in the heart of downtown Oconomowoc

S&J Cafe is just the spot we are looking for. We love the small cozy cafés where you can see the kitchen and the cook making the food. We always loved the hustle and bustle of the kitchen views and seeing the food go out to the hungry customer and what goes into making each dish. S&J is a small diner in downtown Oconomowoc. It has countertop seating with the view of the kitchen right on the other side of the counter. They have a smaller area just a step up out of the kitchen area with about 5 tables. Recently they have done some updating with painting, new flooring, and new doors. The service that the owners provide is outstanding and the food has always been delivered to our tables hot and just as we ordered. Food always has delicious flavor, one of my favorites is the Stovey breakfast wrap made with ham, peppers, cheese, onions, and eggs in a lefse wrap. The coffee is one of the better coffees I have ever had at a café. The atmosphere of the diner has a welcoming and relaxing feel. It is a place you can relax, sip your coffee and let your mind wander in conversation with your friends.
