Don't let the front of the building fool you, as we walked into this restaurant it felt like we were being transported to a different era. The old feeling of the building, the way the staff was dressed, and the atmosphere transported you back in time. The hanging lights, to the wallpaper. We felt like we were the most important people while dining at Brennan’s. The customer service was over the top, but in a good way. The waiter unfolds the napkin and places it on your lap for you. It gives you an overwhelming warm feeling as you look around and see people enjoying warm and delicious food. We ordered coffee and it came out hot and fresh in a French press that was performed table side. I ordered a seasonal offering that consisted of eggs, potato, red pepper, andouille sausage and seasonal vegetables. It had many wonderful flavors and excited all my taste buds with each bite. I sipped on my coffee and enjoyed the sights from the other tables of people eating and sipping coffee and listened to the tinking of people stirring their coffee. The server checked on us every few minutes to see if we needing anything. Shayla ordered a braised short rib dish. It came with potatoes, a red wine reduction and two poached eggs. It was amazing. Easily the best meal she had while on our trip. Every detail was taken care of during our dining experience, which is why we enjoyed it so much. If we are ever in New Orleans again it will be on our list of stops. Street parking. This was one of the highlights of food our experiences in New Orleans. They don’t have a dress code but you might feel underdressed if you arrive in jeans/shorts and a t-shirt. This is well worth your time to visit. $$$ 5/5 stars 417 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70130
