Small Town Eats

We found this little place to get breakfast in downtown Portage. Portage Cafe is a little cafe, with very good service. The servers refilled the coffee every few mins and the food came out in 10 minutes. The portion sizes are not huge but a good size and pricing for two people with coffee and breakfast under $25 dollars. I ordered ribeye and eggs with an English muffin. I got my ribeye medium rare and it was cooked just right. I added hash browns with cheese and onions. My meal was good and just enough food to fill you up. Shayla ordered a build your own omelette with ham, mushroom, tomato, and cheddar cheese. It was delicious. Sliced ham, not cubed which was a pleasant surprise and the mushrooms and tomatoes were stuffed inside the eggs. The meal came with hash browns and toast (I ordered marble rye). All in all a great experience for breakfast in a small town. We would definitely go back. Street parking, $ 4 out of 5 stars. 111 W Cook St, Portage, WI 53901
